Specifically on the island of Terceira, 10x18 miles wide. I would go during the summer for Praia festival, into the fall for bullfighting season. I would live in the green boathouse again, listening to the late summer thunderstorms through the ceiling. During the day, I would moped into the shopping district, spend my day drawing the locals. Then, at sunset, I would drink local wine at a beachside pasteria. On the ride home, I would pass by that factory that smells like sweet fish.
I recommend Lisbon because is the capital, and you also have nice beaches there and many good spots to absorb the culture (one of my fav spots is a chill bar with a lot of vintages collection on the walls called “pavilhao chines“ to enter you have to ring the bell or wait for someone to come out) if you had more time I would also recommend Porto (is where I’m from) it has a lot of beautiful spots as well!
