this song, and really the whole album, are such an interesting blend of electronics, brass, and keyboard that sounds like a child’s toy. weird sounds everywhere. there’s always something for your ear to catch. reminds me a lot of Broadcast
Recontextualizing their music outside of their radio hits, love Thomas bangalter, RAM is beautiful with live music and vocal performances from very interesting people with loads of experience making music and being musicians offering insights and experimenting outside of their genre and comfort zone
I remember spending spring break that year listening to this album front to back on repeat. the atmospheres and drum sequencing across this project is still insane, and as a dubstep kid this album had plenty of harder hitting moments. overall this album marked a point where my tastes were starting to broaden within electronic music, and the track Tabris (linked) especially still blows my mind today. love the progression of it
