and also the rest of their stuff. started listening roughly a month ago and they've quickly made it to my top 10 bands. dreamy, saccharine, sinister, like a groovy + haunted jack-in-the-box.
one of my favorite, most slept-on bands ever. cheesy 80s pop that has no right to be as lyrically impressive and self-aware as it is. also they did a mostly instrumental record in 2003 called I Trawl the Megahertz that’s all string arrangements with radio interview samples blended in if that’s more your thing. awesome range, Cars and Girls was my most listened to song of 2024. also the singer dresses like that now so u know he’s the real deal

The sort of "gooey guitars at 3 am in the comdeown room" psych-rock I've always dug.
