My favorite of the New Zealand jangle pop bands, which I admittedly just found out are grouped together as the "Dunedin sound". Daddy's Highway is start-to-finish good and an album I revisit frequently.
While we're at it, there's an indie band (from Australia if you'll allow it) called The Stroppies that rule in my opinion that I wish more people knew about. Their S/T is another no-skips record for me.
sometimes your favourite musicians are wholesome and kind enough to share the records they are currently bumping. s/o to βBathsβ for putting me on to this band from NZ
I'm partial to Gramicci, had a black pair of pant (I think they're literally just called pant) as my daily drivers for the past 4 years, no signs of slowing down. Built in belt to boot! Their cuts lean on the baggier side usually but some nice straight cut options too. A touch gorpy but never had any complaints round the office.
this is some quirked-up psychedelic hypnagogic Cumbia so maybe not the go if youre looking for something a bit more pure, but it came up on shuffle at 3am while i was half asleep and blew my freaking noggin!
