It’s hard to describe Theo Anthony’s films and do them justice. This one focuses on cameras, bias, and perception but like all his films, it is so much more than the sum of its parts
the killing of a sacred deer?? insane. the lobster?? insane. the favourite?? insane!! all his films are so unique and provide interesting commentary on society today. he’s crazy talented. can’t wait to watch poor things
Kiarostami’s 1990 kinda doc kinda fiction exploration of filmmaking ethics, artistic desire, reasonable fraudulence, economic disparity and a whole lot else. How great is it to see something truly one of a kind? I am buzzing.
every time i bake a cake for someone (which became my weekly reality) i save the scraps to make a smol test bite. test bites are great! not only for cakes! there is something endearing about taking the time to make a small version of any dish, with all the important components, just to try it yourself before serving to other people. like a quality control
once in a year, on a thursday, there is this national polish celebration of donuts. and everyone HAS to eat a donut. ive been living abroad for a few years now, but every year i line up at this one polish cafe in amsterdam to get my pączki(pl donuts).
i am educating my dutch friends about it and they fucking love it now
just grabbing a professional camera on a random thursday and filming a cozy chill dinner eve with good friends. feels so cozy and nice
a good memory :)
