It reminds me to be patience! i love the idea of delayed gratification. It can also be related to someone like friends or a romantic partner, the thought of people and your relationship with them changing and evolving through the years ugh i just love it no matter the outcome.

i just saw this tweet and oh goodness. my heart hurts for the op, and the message is just so... spot on? energy that's unreciprocated seriously hurts so bad. when your whimsy isn't appreciated, when the simple joys you partake in are crushed by anyone, especially a partner..... oh no honey RUN. a relationship like this is so unfulfilling, you deserve a person who's all in on you finding childlike wonder in the littlest, most mundane things. for the dreamers, the idealistic, such as myself - don't let anyone dull your sparkle like this. that's all <3 queuing hit me where it hurts by caroline polachek as we speak

i am cringe but i am free

you can replace cringe with really any adjective you like, but cringe is the one i gravitate to the most. living unapologetically as my truest self is the most important thing to me as i've gotten older. the right people will be in your corner, will love your "cringe", or whatever it may be. because there's nothing as freeing as being yourself. words applicable to me that i could replace cringe with: crazy (a classic) silly annoying (lovingly)
