I have loved this film since I watched it for the first time as a wee 8 year old. I feel like i could rewatch this movie 50x and I would notice something new each time. Stanley Kubrick’s directing, as controversial as it is, was beautifully done. Jack Nichols acting was eerily well-done, making it hard to remember it’s just a movie at times. RIP to the beloved and talented Shelley Duvall, she did not deserve what she was put through on this film set, but she was able to deliver one of the most memorable moments in film. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently had my third time watching this film. The last time I watched this movie was with my mom. Why did I show my mom this film? Anyway I watched this for my intro to cinema class. It is still surreal and horrifying! I absolutely love the final moments of the film. You can tell that a lot of detail went into making pretty much everything in this film the way it is. The two main actors do a top notch job. I love the vibe this film has. Very dreamlike and unique. I feel like on this rewatch I have enjoyed the small acting and comedic aspects of the film more.

I know there is no shortage of discussion and appreciation for this but I just saw the directors cut at the Alamo and it really clicked this time I watched it first in eighth grade study hall on my phone constantly looking over my shoulder especially during that scene and then the second time in a dorm lounge with everyone else mad at me for picking such a “weird” movie (however those same friends liked infinity pool when we went so I don’t really know what could’ve been that much more off putting about this) It is just so well done and I love all the buildings that were actually constructed I also love all the moments of silence throughout they really just elevated the discomfort of everything happening Also for how fucked up it is it is also so funny which I love Acting is phenomenal too I love William Jackson Harper, Florence Pugh and Will Poulter Unrelated note: diet coke is THE drink of the people there were 9 other people in the theater and literally every one of them ordered a Diet Coke

You probably have seen this movie by now because obviously, it is very popular. I was looking for something to watch and that popped up, and I briefly considered watching it but only for a moment. I saw this movie with my husband in the theaters. I was expecting to be scared but instead, I was overwhelmed with the pain, grief, and trauma for the almost entire movie. The scene where the mom is yelling at Peter absolutely gutted me. I cried basically the whole time, even into the credits. I kind of missed all of the scary stuff because I was just weeping (lol). I have watched it once since then, and it still was very disturbing to me, but I was able to pick up on the horror of it as well. It is amazing film, and I will probably never watch it again.

If you have ever even questioned if you should delete it, you should. I have been tik tok less since I’m not sure when, guessing at most like 9 months? And I feel like I’m receiving a normal amount of information everyday rather than information overload first thing in the morning. Our brilliant, yet fragile little brains were never made to look at a screen for so long. Go outside. However, it took me about 2 years to even consistently not have tik tok. I would delete it for about two days and download it right back, but I think if you’re stubborn enough- you can do it too :)

On any average weekday I’d have 3 to 6 chapsticks/lip glosses in my purse. Weekends it gets up to maybe 8. and yes it’s okay if 4 of them are variously soda flavored chapsticks. That is okay ❤️
