it’s about time i made a website for myself and my work, but i didn’t feel particularly drawn to the templates on wordpress or your run-of-the-mill website makers. i was talking about these frustrations today and my housemate recommended hotglue and i‘m in love with the whole premise of it! it’s really diy and collage-style so it’s great if you’re into that aesthetic and it feels authentic to you. i’m still learning how to use it, but it’s not too hard and i’m someone who usually isn’t super good with tech stuff like this. also i think hotglue is a genius name
fucking awesome web tool that lets you make in-browser collage websites ...no code necessary but if you do wanna add some you can. shoutout molly soda the goat
i found this site yesterday that let’s you build your own or use a template, it’s called universe. i’ve been messing around with it, and it’s actually pretty cool. you should check it out
I am personally not big on DIY coding and after going through what felt like torture with Wix, Squarespace, and Wordpress I tried Google Sites (which is free) and I found it to be the easiest way to create a simple and functional website that didn’t feel over-designed. It’s definitely won’t deliver a super slick or flashy aesthetic but that’s what I was going for anyways.
the last word i wrote down in my list is maelstrom! i think i have like 100 words written down, some of them repeated without meaning to... i like words a lot and there are many i wish to remember and immortalize. what’s a word you never want to forget?
