There is an immense satisfaction of stubbornly refusing to turn on or use a light. Fiddling with something in the dark; full mental visualization of an object or task. It feels like the scene in avatar when we see how Toph uses stomps and reverberations to see.
Really frees you from the shackles of electric lights which can be so damaging to your circadian rhythm and it just makes you feel more in tune with how people are supposed to live. I donβt even remember the last time I turned on a lightbulb π
i grew up in a house in the middle of absolutely nowhere and my mother's bathroom windows and walls were all glass block and i think it's so beautiful and fun and nostalgic. doesn't it also look so tasty and nice to chew on?
