as an avid lover of keychain trinkets, i think flashlights are the most essential one of them all. if you're gonna have one thing other than your keys, consider a tiny flashlight. you'll appreciate having it when you need it.
pictured is the olight i1R 2 EOS. it's rechargeable via micro USB, which is outdated, but i like how small it is, since keys can get bulky real quick.
if USB-C is a must, there's the olight i1R 2 pro, which is a little bigger in comparison.

having a pocket knife is really important to me. I'm always needing to cut open a package or slice a piece of cheese or a million other things.
I like this knife. Got it yesterday. It is cheap, so not a disaster if you lose it or break it. Of course it doesn't compare to the real deal or many more quality knives, but it is really quite delightful.
And so lightweight.
If you live in a city with specific knife laws (SF bars knives over 3 inches, for instance) you can always go with their mini version.
