Listen I’m Colombian so of course I read a few of Gabo’s (Gabriel Garcia Marquez for those who are unaware) oeuvre, as he is a national treasure. As much I adore Love in the Time of Cholera, I feelĀ Strange PilgrimsĀ (orĀ Doce Cuentos Peregrinos) is just as amazing. It is a collection of short stories of various Latin Americans residing in Europe and my personal favourite is Sleeping Beauty and the AirplaneĀ as it perfectly encapsulates the trip between CDG and JFK. For the anglophones, both of these books were also translated by Edith Grossman who also translated the copy ofĀ Don QuixoteĀ we read at my secondary school and I feel the translator means just as much as the author and she was an incredible one in what I’ve read that she’s done.

I'd recommend all of them, you don't have to get a specific book/collection of them, just find any online or if you run into a bookstore that has a compilation it WILL be good. he bends reality in a way that makes me reminisce of a dimension where he wasn't a perfectionist and published more work.........

This has merged my love of making collages with my super niche years-curated selection of Pinterest files into one single app and I am not complaining at all!!

My go-to cocktail used to be a vodka limone until it was easily replaced with the pornstar martini the moment I touched down in London. Considering that its birthplace was full of them, I throughly enjoyed my bar nights with friends and this passion fruit—vodka (with its accompanying shot of Prosecco always) combo. And wherever I can find it, I will have it as my drink of choice.

Ɖric Rohmer is probably one of my favourite directors of all time. I have seen all six of his Moral Tales, all four of his Four Seasons, and quite a few of his Comedies and Proverbs (of which The Green Ray is the fifth). This was the movie I started university with as I was reminded of this film after visiting Biarritz and St-Jean-de-Luz. Personally, I felt a rewarch of Delphine’s beautiful and atmospheric solo explorations throughout France was perfect as I had just moved away from home for the first time!
