Do you have a cough and wish you didn't? Insert Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa, a traditional Chinese natural herbal remedy that works better than anything I've ever tried for soothing a scratchy throat and quelling coughs. A vocal coach I worked with as a teenager told me about this syrup, and it's been on my shelf ever since. ILY Pei Pa Koa!

Would you like stupid good hair? My friend Mara is not only an incredible stylist, but she made this ridiculously amazing hair oil that smells like jasmine, vetiver, and citron-kissed heaven. It’s the only product that has ever made my hair look genuinely cute cute air-dried. I scrunch it into my waves after showering and have to fight the urge to slather my whole body in it. Mara, if you’re reading, please make a perfume, too!

I grew up in a small Texas town in the evangelical church community. While I am not here to delve into the finer points of that belief system, I will say it was not for me.   Krista Tippett’s "On Being" podcast is what I wish church had felt like — deeply inquisitive, soul-affirming, and full of tender wisdom. Some of my favorite episodes are those with Mary Oliver, Thich Nhat Hanh, adrienne maree brown, and John O’Donohue. Also, Krista’s voice is 10/10 a hug in vocal form.
