don’t just opt out of learning about that new concept, or checking out that hot new thing on the scene. i know it’s comfy letting stuff pass you by, but stay curious! be investigative!

An absence of curiosity can be safer and more predictable and less vulnerable ...but oh the joy of being an inquisitive, curious, perpetual learner! What a great recommendation!

everytime i get to a point where i feel i’m an intellectual fraud and know nothing, i remind myself that me not knowing something means i CAN try and know it. there’s an insane amount of information floating about, what matters is you never lose your curiosity.

Learning is a joy, and education is a gift! If I could pick one trait for everyone in the world to have, it would be curiosity. It begets all the other good stuff like compassion and intelligence and humor. Being a lifelong learner is an easy lifestyle to jump into – just be curious. Maintaining a sense of curiosity about the world around you makes life feel magical. It also makes your classes much more rewarding (and therefore much easier to go to). Ask more questions! Wonder about things! get curious-er!

used to find the prospect of everyone knowing you by name (and by order) humiliating, but after doing my time in the service industry i’ve come to find the idea of regulars really precious… i love being a routine part of people’s week 🫂
giving to small businesses on a regular basis is super rewarding ! you get to participate and invest in your local community - and it will usually invest itself in you one way or another :)
