one of my favorite novels, just at the tail end of '65. positively soulcrushing, but beautiful!

Great book that really examines the American dream and the sad tragedy of early 20th century life and customs

an incredible book to read in autumn. Iโ€™ve read a lot of reviews about this book that argue that itโ€™s about duty or work - but in my opinion this book is entirely about passivity. itโ€˜s heartbreaking and written so tenderly that you breeze through it in hours.

this is my favorite novel and makes me feel all warm inside. i love how bittersweet it is in its portrayal of fuckups and forgiveness and trust in others and changing as a person but not as much as youd like to. profoundly human and beautiful.

so much to talk about, the sunglasses, the scarf, the fresh baguette and coffee, the always lovely cafe setting. I think this is the most swag ever captured on camera I aspire to be at this level
