thank you yazz for reminding of this album… i’ve been meaning to listen to it ever since i heard “IWR” on the very last episode of my friend’s college radio show, more than two years ago. now, i am laying on my floor, blissfully stoned, mouth agape in candle-lit darkness absolutely in awe of this masterpiece of music.
every single song feels so intimate, each sound, each word amplified and layered on top of the other, like cake, a sonic confection that makes your heart smile a lot (and your teeth hurt a little) with every bite you take. this album tries to do a lot, and in doing so, becomes irreplaceable. i can’t wait to see what they do next.
(also “IWR” is still one of the best songs literally ever!!!! yup)

One of my new year's resolutions was to listen to albums over playlists and I'm falling in love with so many now. But this. Every song is an adventure, going to the most insane, beautiful, surprising places. I love! Also definitely meant to be listened to in order (which I LOVE!)
Highlights: Chihiro, L'amour de ma vie and The Greatest
Also have some really fun memories surrounding Lunch, and I'm breaking my habits and learning to love things that are popular: Birds of a Feather is great.
Might just be a Billie fan now! My best friend in Year 9 would be proud.
