For me its the bouldering gym, maybe you'd prefer a different sport. Just make sure you choose sth where there is space to hang out AND exercise. (Most climbing gyms have a bar/coffee area as well)
apologies for sincereposting but i gotta plug my favorite sport of all time. as someone who grew up playing a LOT of team sports, discovering climbing was incredible. they got it figured it out. its gamified for you, every climbing route has a little number assigned to tell you roughly how difficult it is, making it very easy for you to evaluate how well you're improving.
despite common perception, it is not an sport solely for people with lots of upper body strength, modern bouldering and sport climbing typically requires a level of full body fitness and mobility that isn't easily replicated by many sports. you can always find a niche with your morphology to make it work. its great for your back too.
As y'all might know, I'm a climber. Which is fun, cute, sexy and I recommend everyone to become one. Only downside is that it's def a male dominated sport. There's plenty of girls who climb, but a large majority (in our gym) is male. Meaning that the likelihood of going on an outdoor climbing trip without men.. is small. Unless, of course, you organise a girls-only climbing trip. I would highly recommend doing so. Men r great but it's also nice to only be surrounded by girls who know what's it like to climb when you have a menstrual cycle and don't have a natural knack for dynamic power. Made me feel supported, seen and connected.
