Chicago is a city of neighborhoods! It's really easy to get around either by walking or taking public transportation. West Loop is a popular neighborhood if you're into restaurant hopping, but there are neighborhoods like Lincoln Square, Logan Square, or Andersonville if you're looking for something off the beaten path.

I live in Chicago! Depending on where you're staying, there's a bunch of cool things to do as Chicago is a city of neighborhoods. Wicker Park and Logan Square are popular neighborhoods to check out and they're on the cheaper end. California Clipper, Rainbo Club, and Common Decency are bars that are worth checking out. I know that Common Decency has a happy hour 4-6pm 7 days a week. If you're into movies, check out the Music Box Theatre! It's a 95 year old arthouse movie theatre in the Southport Corridor/Lakeview neighborhood that shows independent and second run films. Speaking of Lakeview, Clark Street is pretty popular if you're going to check out Wrigley Field! There are bars up and down the block so you won't need to walk far to find a place to drink at for cheap. If you need any more ideas or recommendations, let me know!

There‘s so much to do and so many hidden gems it really depends on your vibe! Where are you staying? Kingston Mines is a blues club that’s been around forever- they have live music, food, and drinks. Chicago does street fests so well and they’re what I think of when I think of summer. There’s something every weekend basically. Millenium Park also does a free concert series. It’s great to picnic and listen to great music. A lot of well known artists do it. We have beaches!!!! You probably won’t have a bike but if you do… bike up to a beach. The river architecture tour is so cool, I loved it even as a person who has been living here for 15 years. In the summer it’s really easy to stumble upon stuff, which is what I love about summer in the city. There’s also a dive bar on basically every street so if you’re looking for a chill place to have a beer, those are easy to find.

The people are nice, the city is clean, the food is great. My favorite part was the time we spend in Lincoln park! There were more little boutiques in that area and I prefer to shop local when I travel. We also became regulars at poke poke over our time there, the workers are so sweet and the food is amaze!
