bro is quite the tastemaker! jonah with the occasional help of his wife, write dope little substack articles on (non cursed) gorpy/wavy mostly menswear designers. they’re always emphasizing the whackness of over consumption, buying quality clothes and home goods that ethically pay those who created them, and societal critiques of how we approach clothes. i have subscribed/read this substack since 2020 and it gives me the fix of being in the know about mad under the radar items but i don’t feel the urge to drain my bank account to acquire. love their art direction too
one of the best substacks IMO. as far as I know its ran by two people. most of the posts are about fashion and culture, but every now and then a banging editorial is dropped. super sweet recs for small time and single owner fashion brands plus some really great interviews. Clairo is actually the reason I found BBSP as well as PI! Hope you enjoy
First newsletter I had ever subscribed to and I love the weekly interviews and random recs that Jonah and Erin throw out. Also the only newsletter I’ve ever bought merch from. If your into artist interviews ranging from music to art to fashion and like a writing style somewhere between the NYT and a YouTube comments section then you know what to do.
Pulling Weeds at GQ - I respect Chris Black's takes. This is a great weekly column / newsletter. Deez Links - You just have to sub to this one, covers all the bases all the time. Sprezza - For menswear, for interviews, for insights to the clothing we wear, this is the best overall newsletter.
recently visited the homie in DC and he cheffed me up a cold cut up honeycrisp apple from the fridge after a lowkey nonchalant run… man why have i been out here buying expensive ahh berries that go bad in 3 days when APPLES EXIST??? mfs are HARD 🗣️🫶🌳🍎
