in a few days i'm hitting the one year mark since i started learning korean!!! it feels so good and rewarding. this was the first time i decided to learn a new language (not as a class in school) and i'm actually surprised of how much i've been enjoying the process. i'm taking weekly personal courses online but i also recommend sticking to duolingo and lingodeer and holding on to that streak

i've always had an interest in russia/russian culture and about a year and a half ago i started messing around with it on duolingo - i'm pleasantly surprised to be able to read it pretty well! don't get me wrong - my speech is horrible and i have a very limited vocabulary, but to be able to read those funny little letters feels cool. if you have an interest in a culture/language use the internet as much as you can to dive in you'll be amazed at what you can do

i'm moving cities and into a new apartment in a few weeks. the apartment walls and layout are kinda funky so i recreated the apt on the sims to try and make some sense of it. i did it before in 2019 but to remember that apartment forever. i can say it's been super useful in both cases. i also have this dream of owning a small cinema and i've been working on it (in the game lol) recently.

such a good documentary!!! i would've become obsesseddddd with this when i was in film school. as a music agent i'm always talking about the importance of knowing your copyright and *personality* rights as an artist, and this does a great job of highlighting that.
