this was the first movie to make me feel Seen.. like julia ducournau made it specifically for me and nobody else.. not sure what that says about me but i’ll treasure this movie forever

love and anarchy (1973)

maybe my favorite movie i saw this year, mariangela melato is everything to me. pure italian intensity psychosis brilliantly shot and so so beautiful. i was screaming. incredible exploration of the political vs the personal. metaphors abound. just watch it. its on kanopy so go get a library card and u can watch it for free.

ever since I watched this two weeks ago I can’t stop thinking about it. it’s a stripper who just wants a baby but her boyfriend doesn’t want one so she convinces him by sleeping with his best friend. the things we do to get what we want… the loves we pass up in the blindness of misdirected desire… it‘s a silly little movie but it broke my heart too
