Your screen light being the only light to illuminate your room. Your friends voice being the only you hear as your ears get hot from your headphones. The random fits of laughing over stuff you canโt even remember in the morning. The stretching as you get up to get a snack. The singing songs randomly. The deep talks. Itโs like a childhood sleepover all over again.

who cares that weโre all going to be tired tomorrow? weโre making memories right now. i am a firm believer that if you can have a blast talking to your friends for 8 hours straight, there is absolutely no reason to cut it short for something as mundane as bedtime. middle of the night conversations go hard, everything is funny and vulnerable and precious and playful. tell me everything while we curl up on the couch or huddle on a stoop somewhere.

I love staying up at night. My sleep schedule is one of a nocturnal animal. Itโs so quiet and peaceful and oh so freeing. No one to bother or ask anything of me. Just me and the moon.
