THE lesbian movie. if you're into brokeback mountain, westerns, slow burns, classic movies, this is your movie. it has a weird mix of 80s nostalgia and 50s vibes, characters look very 80s but the soundtrack is the 50s soundtrack of my dreams. so so good, give it a watch if you can
HARROWING but gorgeous and painterly film about sex and power and oppression. I was lucky enough to catch it at an Alamo Drafthouse for a special screening, go watch it on your friend’s projector for maximum effect ⭐️
Look I know it’s been rec’d a lot, but I watched it again last night and it’s perfect. best film ever made. Nothing has ever expressed the bisexual teen intense friendship like it. The portrayal of angry hypersexuality in girls who’ve been assaulted, the twist on the vampire genre, the villainising of indie boy bands, the line “you give me a wetty”. Perfection.
