i know some people have said that the Hackensack location is better, but i still love the JC one. went last night before jonathan richman and it hit, like always. $1.66 for a delicious and simple burger loaded with onions and american cheese. opened in 1938 as part of the NY World Fair. loaded with charm, especially the staff.
there is a simplicity that is missed in burgers when a bar tries to gussy them up and sell them for upwards of $15. All they really need is American cheese and some onions pressed into the patties as they cook. Shout out to White Mana.
