the sundays are definitely sonically influenced by the smiths. iβd say this album might be the one that maps unto reading, writing and arithmetic the closest, the guitar at the start of cemetery gates is really similar to hereβs where the story ends. both bands also have the same level of whimsical songwriting and general jaunty-ness but the sundays are bit more dream pop imo.
