I know we say it but like actually do it!!! needed to get to a blood test today so asked my band group chat and my friend came and picked me up, and his partner had given him a homemade cookie for sugar for after! we often see asking for help as an inconvenience but you get to hang out with your friend for a bit, who is that really inconveniencing?!

One of my pals just gave me a call asking me to give him a lift to the auto service shop to pick up his fixed car. Always nice to see a good friend and catch up for like 10 minutes, and he was really sweet and appreciative

"out of the way" is a special path with a gift at the end. lingering in the doorway to catch up, grabbing medicine from the store for a friend, not accepting gas money, taking the call even tho they could've texted first, someone said "inconvenience is the price we pay for community" 🥺 hell yeah😭 bring back sacrificial love

Doesn’t really matter the reason. I’ve had people unexpectedly do this for me when I’ve gone through rough periods and I try to do the same now. like damn that lasagna or whatever meant so much. and when people are really down in the dumps it helps so much to be around people so take em out somewhere. Remind them what life/the world has to offer cause it’s easy to forget.

I am by no means traditionally religious, but I fully understand how being in the presence of beautiful stained glass can feel like being with god. ALWAYS stop off at a church on the way if you think it might have good stained glass. The bluebells in the bottom right corner of this made me loose my breath for a moment.

I used to be envious of people who had “MySpace friends” or “tumblr friends”. Now I have PI.FYI friends. Thank you capyboppy for your lovely letter and this illustration of a capybara and a mouse with fruit on our heads, it made me weirdly emotional ❤️
