Testosterone

I , like so many men that never truly “hit” puberty (or inversely never had my ass beat by it) now at the age of 40 have to shoot up testosterone - to retain my “juj”. I keep waiting for my dick to get bigger or my voice to drop but I’m still a decent medium and my voice remains as fruity and musical as a cereal commercial- but something about shooting up shit that in an off hand makes me ripped makes me finally feel like - I dunno some wayward high school jock - even tho im 40- and routinely inactive. But as the saying goes “it’s not about how you LOOK, it’s about how you FEEL”

Girly Girl Exercise

I made a bunch of wild changes in my life recently. Went sober for a couple months, quit smoking and started exercising like crazy…highly recommend all three of these but specifically I found love for basic bitch fitness. For the first time I fully understand the fanaticism: the light filled mirrored room, Taylor swift remixes thumping in your sports bra bound chest, a tiny nasal bubblegum voice thick with vocal fry assuring you that you are so strong and powerful, ok ladies! Instills this nearly manic feeling of total control and capability and I walk out feeling psychotically euphoric.

presumption of good will

I was going through the Ignatian approach to education today (adapted from the Spiritual Exercises for those keeping track at home) and this tenet is just so good. St. Ignatius says that a person, “ought to be more eager to put a good interpretation on a neighbor’s statement than to condemn it.Further, if one cannot interpret it favorably, one should ask how the other means it. If the meaning is wrong, one should correct the person with love; if this is not enough, one should search out every  appropriate means through which, by understanding the statement in a good way, it may be saved.” This is very Hanlon’s razor (never attribute to malice what you can attribute to stupidity/ignorance) and I just feel like having a curious posture like this is a major slay and makes us better people

Checking out ornate churches

Like look at this shit. Just kinda sick tbh. The Eastern church invented maximalism which is just very slay for them (even if you aren't into God or whatever I feel like you can enjoy old buildings with tons of art everywhere)
