This new york times piece anout the prince documentary we’ll likely never see

If you are a fan of even just “I wonder about that guy,” you MUST read it. The man was clearly a genius -- and all the puts and takes that come with it -- and it amazes me, all these years after his passing, how little we STILL know about him. Which is most likely exactly the way he wanted it.

such a good documentary!!! i would've become obsesseddddd with this when i was in film school. as a music agent i'm always talking about the importance of knowing your copyright and *personality* rights as an artist, and this does a great job of highlighting that.

I think about this line from virgil abloh's lecture at columbia's architecture school all the time, which is about the Yeezus album cover. a testament to how, when you put in enough hours, sometimes you create work that transcends your current capabilities - even if just by chance.
