Great song off of my favorite album from 2024. Chanel Beads reminds me of my dream pop/chillwave past but they’re expanding on these established genres in a way that feels both novel and nostalgic at times. To me, the sound is sort of like Yves Tumour meets Yung Lean meets Beach House. The whole album is very atmospheric with catchy 808 beats. Perfect to study/relax to.
This album has the glossy night vibe, it’s got vaporwave elements, and it has emotion that other synth bands from the 80s tried to capture. these folks made something special, and I always try to find albums that have a specific element to them, and this one had it: honesty.
