This is a song by Nancy Wilson -
there is a dreamy, glamorous, confident Knowingness about it that is just entrancing to me. Really makes me feel like I’m twirling in kitchen sunlight even when I’m mopping the floor of a bar
it transports you to a world of intrigue and romance and nostalgia and longing...
but have to listen to the movie version (the youtube one) bc the other recordings don't have the same impact! love that it's not even every version of the song that does it for me, that it's a very specific captured moment.
and nancy sings semi-flat the whole time yet somehow no one else can sing this song right.
I’m getting a weird little freak in a week!! Still trying to think of a new name for him as his given name is simply not right BUT maybe it’ll spill out of me once we meet.
Also I drank a strawberries and cream dr. pepper yesterday and that was incredible 💗
My dad loved horror movies - not many actually Scared him. After seeing this in theaters he told me he had to turn on all the lights when he got home.
I just saw it for the first time and while I loved it I wouldn’t say this is a Scary Movie. It’s more so a story about ghosts that almost feels like a gothic fairytale.
Nicole Kidman is insanely good in it. The way she can lose her grip on reality while still maintaining her humanity is heartbreaking.
SO, highly recommend watching especially on a foggy/stormy night. And make sure to lock that door behind you thx love u so much xoxo4evr
There’s a real sense of catharsis in this song. Peter has said it’s about letting go and you can feel that. It is so confident but still feels personal and it’s just a damn tune. Also it’s in 7/4 if you care about that kind of thing
