i love this movie because it’s able to blend bombastic, cheesy 80s horror with actual gothic vampire lore in a unique setting. chris sarandon is also a really great villain in this and there’s also quality vampire makeup.

1/31: Audition (1999)

i’ve decided i’m gonna post a horror movie recommendation for every day of october (i missed yesterday because of gainful employment so i‘m posting 2 today) this movie is the ultimate slow starter and like a perfect lesson in building tension and atmosphere. then when it presses on the gas, it goes absolutely crazy.
