just saw this for the first time a few days ago now, and I can’t stop thinking about it. it’s so good? the way that joel and clem’s dynamic fluctuates so realistically, their general fondness of one another, but also their understanding of each others flaws is so good. AHHHH!!! anyways, love this movie lots.
watched this recently and loved loved loved- has romance, comedy, serious bits, depressing bits, heartfeltness and all wrapped up in this surreal pseudo sci fi conceit. the soundtrack is also amazing! it has that cozy yet bleak yet hopeful quality that a lot of early 2000s movies have. could also be a good one to watch once it’s wintertime, but hope you enjoy whenever you decide to watch!!
One of my favorite movies atp every time I re watch it it blows my mind they were able to create such a clever timeline of events. the movie is depressing yet inspiring, and just an amazing film. I can not get enough of it it’s literally amazing I can’t even properly express in words how much I love it.
some movies just give you a pure hit of nostalgia on the first watch and this is IT for me! i've seen it countless times now but it just makes you fffeeeeelllll in the best way
maybe not radical honesty, but like.. just living. like, twirling strangers in the dance hall because it feels right and skipping down the grocery aisles and sitting down and writing for yourself in public and having fancy ginger beer for breakfast and talking unabashedly. yknow??? maybe this is common sense but i’ve found peace again
