i love my journals. especially now because everything is online it is a great chance to hold something real and write!
i keep two- one for photos (a junk journal/scarpbook) and one for just my handwriting. it’s not a diary, there are a lot of personal entries tho. it’s more of a book for my daily thoughts and experience. whatever i need to write down! i study french in there, memorize lines, make to do lists, and doodle too! it takes the stress of the book away and lets me to really use it since there’s no limits! it’s also a great place to keep my stickers and postcards…all the stuff you want to keep and don’t know what to do with!

✏️I am a pretty obsessive documenter. I seem to have bad memory, which got me into keeping record of things as much as i can. I’ll be taking photos on my iphone, videos on my camcorder (for onion vlogs i make every month), and i keep FOUR diaries with all different purposes. 1: sorta like a gratitude journal. Simple bullet points of things i “liked, lacked, learned, longed for” and thank yous. 2: a “throw up” notebook where i throw up all my thoughts. 3: a simple scheduler thats a weekly format hobonichi. 4: an hourly day-to-day diary that i fill up retroactively to learn any patterns and habits. Kinda like self-research.

🎨i like the concept of “junk journaling”, it really helps me to fill the empty spaces! keep receipts, cute packaging from food, interesting looking tags etc. it’s a nice way to casually scrapbook and keep mementos of otherwise mundane days

📖i love doing it, saving junk for my journal, going to different stores and getting supplies, currently setting supplies aside to send in snail mail for my long distance friend who also junk journals, setting up my junk journal craft station. LOVE IT ALL.
