Jean Seberg is the original cool girl! Plus, Jean-Paul Belmondo! Pretty much put the French New Wave on the map. I also love Days of Heaven (1978) though Brooke Adams and Linda Manz are more doomed than anything else. But it’s aching beautiful and will haunt you in the best way. Oh, and make you want to watch all of Terrence Malick’s movies, especially Badlands (with Sissy Spacek as another amazing cool, doomed girl!) Happy watching 🤍🩶🖤
I started with Breathless (1960). Was it supposed to be so funny? I laughed more than I probably should've considering the beginning and the end. C'est la vie.
