A truly terrible mega pretentious flop of a film that shows how out of touch our elites are, beware of old men talking about Ancient Rome!!! But watching this at Peckhamplex was one hell of a night… as the story/dialogue/aesthetic sensibility got more and more incoherent normal cinema etiquette was completely thrown out the window, ppl were laughing and shouting at the screen, I love a packed out audience experience <3

went to the NY premiere last night which had a Q&A w Francis + Robert De Niro and Spike Lee insane movie. earnest/optimistic Southland Tales vibes for sure. it's a beautiful opulent mess, definitely try to see it.

This movie did not get the recognition it deserved. Not only was the acting phenomenal, but the sequence of the giant 1920’s party was something that had to be witnessed in theaters. It’s chaotic in the best way and deals with amazing themes on the obscurities that take place in Hollywood.

For every one small thing in this movie that I thought was genuinely interesting or captivating there were about 10 things that made my skin crawl. Adam Driver is the only performer who seems like he actually wants to be there, and fuck knows why, but credit where it's due: he is by far the best thing about the movie. But it's such a disjointed, egotistical mess.

It’s funny being alive in the early rubbish days of AI. Listened to my Wrapped Ai podcast on Spotify and got to experience my artificially-generated bodyless soulless ‘host’ chuckle and say ‘I can just imagine you strutting down the street listening to the BRAT album’
