passing through to astroturf this little 90s inspired electronica/trip hop record released a few months back; up there for me with the new cindy lee for album of the year
brings me back to late nights with my brother circa 97 listening to ninja tune comps or dj food promo records and playing ps1 and drawing and painting and disassembling/reassembling computers and electronics and writing code in a cigarette and shitty incense fueled haze late late late into the night (rip)
would give anything to feel that again

i’ve revisited this album since my middle/ highschool days and with the recent appreciation for mid 2000s music/ culture (indie sleaze whatever), tick, clap + boom beats in underground rap of the time seemed pretty permeating … we should bring it back. it was hot
