I’ve been listening to this ultra-femme, cool Mexican band since my pre-teen years, and I can honestly say they’ve shaped me into the vintage Latina baddie I am today, lol. They mix lounge and jazz with a futuristic twist, and Denisse Guerrero’s bubblegum-sultry vocals are everything. I’m always obsessed! Honestly, I think she paved the way for pop girls like Katy Perry. My favorite song is “Rosa Pastel" and "Niño."
I mentioned some on the post linked above. I like Bad Bunny’s latest album Debí Tirar Más Fotos Todo Cambia, Mercedes Sosa Santa No Soy, RBD Rebelde, RBD Vale la Pena, Juan Luis Guerra La Travesía, Juan Luis Guerra A Pedir Su Mano, Juan Luis Guerra La Bilirrubina, Juan Luis Guerra La Rebelión, Joe Arroyo El Gran Varón, Willie Colón Suéltame, Bogotá & Gobiérname- (these are two songs by Diamante Eléctrico) De Maravisha, Nathy Peluso & Tokischa Puro Veneno, Nathy Peluso. Shakira’s songs in spanish. My personal believe is that sometimes she dumbs down the lyrics for english listeners.
A SUPREME reggaeton song 🙂↕️. They have really good songs but what always caught my attention was their voices. They're so distinctive. Another duo that reminded me of this type of reggaeton was Plan B. Recommend the song Candy by them.
data by tainy is a perfect record (bad bunny is on it)
divino nino is kind of psychedelic but also. silly? their newest record is very sexy
ninos del cerro is one of my fav bands ever -- their music is so beautiful
also the marias and maye! dreamy pop
I’m a regular at this horror-themed coffeehouse in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood. It’s such a gem that body-horror maestro David Cronenberg gave it a thumbs up. Another unusual fact is that Avondale is known as Chicago’s horror neighborhood. The cafes, shops, restaurants, and bookstores all lean into the spooky. Also, I met Suspira’s Barbara Magnolfi here at a meet and greet event!🩸❤️
It’s almost criminal that I’m just now watching this show, considering how much I love anime thrillers! I’m on layer: 08 (episode 8) — don’t tell me what happens next!😭🛜💞
I’ve loved thrifting and vintage since I was young, and while I’m not a perfect sustainable fashionista, I try! I also really enjoy the cultural commentary and policy coverage — they’re so helpful for a girl with an environmental reporter beat and a passion for eco-fashion.
