its cold and flu season, which means we take care of ourselves to take care of others!!! fire cider is so good, easy one month ferment ( or is it pickling? ). use ginger, garlic, spicy peppers, pepper, tumeric root, onion and lemon. horseradish if u can find the stinky fucker. put it in a jar with apple cider vinegar for a month, then strain that bitch and drink a shot every morning or when u feel a cold coming on (with some honeyyyyy babes) and u feel empowered and loved and cared for thru yr own hands. crazy. bonus if u give away samplers to ur loved ones.

antibacterial properties and just a general panacea for winter ills. Herbalist Rosemary Gladstar popularized it and you can make it or buy some. I also second the salt water garage and would add that I’ve been told warm water is best (as a child lol clearly in no actual medical advice or receiving capacity)

i read this book right after leaving an abusive relationship, trying to figure out what love was for me and how i could see it in my recently shook up world. bell hooks writes in a simple, honest language. it’s a beautiful, accessible book that humbled me and taught me how to love people and where find the love i desired.
