very glad I no longer have to book online and I can just text him and he will have an opening. Makes every trip planned back to San Francisco worthwhile, something to look forward to. plus, it’s always good to have someone who can work with you!
For a long time I didn't get a haircut bc I was nervous to trust someone new with my hair lol
But it's so nice to have someone you trust, is nice and carries out the vision!!
i’ve been going to mine for 12? years now. i trust nobody on earth with my hair and only get it cut in california now from her anyway yeah she’s the homie we yap about whatever she gives me an excellent haircut then i go under the hair dryer thing like a real aunty and life is good. highly recommend
One more to round out the trifecta of haircut-related recs. I live in New York, but don’t have a hair stylist there (mostly because $ but also I like to build up a relationship with someone). I do, however, regularly see hair stylists when I’m in Cambridge, Oakland, and London (places I’ve formerly lived or spent a lot of time in). Less expensive, more to chit chat about and makes travel all the more transformative to have it to be the only mode where your appearance gets altered.
so much to talk about, the sunglasses, the scarf, the fresh baguette and coffee, the always lovely cafe setting. I think this is the most swag ever captured on camera I aspire to be at this level
