The East Side recs are popping but even as an East Sider, I must admit: It’s nice to see the beach on Christmas. Go to Malibu bc it’s worth it, Little Dume is my favorite but you have to scramble. It’s a cold beach in December but that is its own type of magic and you can still get burned so wear sunscreen.
I would stop in Topanga at Cafe 27 if you make the trip - prices are a little high but the view is worth it. Make a reservation so you don’t have to wait.
I am going to see the Stars Hallow sets with Christmas lights on the Warner Brothers Studio tour. You can also got to Hogsmeade for a butter beer at Universal Studios, if you’re into that.
The mountains are nice that time of year - you can go skiing at Mt. Baldy or just hike in Angeles National Forest.
Catch a holiday puppet show at Bob Baker’s Marionette Theater in Highland Park.
See a movie at Vidiots or The New Beverly.
