This is my number 1 comfort album. My Mom got it as a CD from a magazine sale at my elementary school. We would listen to it together often in the car. Itās both an idyllic slow morning soundtrack and a perfect Commute vibe for any season. Iāve been having a proper Nora November this year because itās a perfect no-skips cold weather comfort album

Not one I purchased, but the first CD I was given as a child. Used to listen to this in the car with my grandmother when sheād pick me up and drive me to ballet lessons. Very formative album for me since itās this and the live version of landslide that were the first ārealā music I can remember hearing. If itās first music I personally purchasedā¦ a bunch of random cds from the used book store when I was in middle school. Donāt know what would be in that stack.

love this ask bc my brain compartmentalizes life events and tells time through music and this is the first song i remember loving. i couldnāt wait to be a grown up and drink coffee by the beach when i heard this one. i would still like to drink coffee by the beach whilst listening to some norah. (i am told that my very first favorite song as a baby was ābelieveā by cher).

I was going through the Ignatian approach to education today (adapted from the Spiritual Exercises for those keeping track at home) and this tenet is just so good.
St. Ignatius says that a person, āought to be more eager to put a good interpretation on a neighborās statement than to condemn it.Further, if one cannot interpret it favorably, one should ask how the other means it. If the meaning is wrong, one should correct the person with love; if this is not enough, one should search out every appropriate means through which, by understanding the statement in a good way, it may be saved.ā
This is very Hanlonās razor (never attribute to malice what you can attribute to stupidity/ignorance) and I just feel like having a curious posture like this is a major slay and makes us better people

Like look at this shit. Just kinda sick tbh. The Eastern church invented maximalism which is just very slay for them (even if you aren't into God or whatever I feel like you can enjoy old buildings with tons of art everywhere)
