aka the best "plenty of time to put this one on, leave the booth, go to the bar, get back for the next" track of all time. your favorite DJ's favorite deep cut, all nearly-ten-minutes of it.

The Stones go psychadelic, had never really explored this one before recently. They didn’t really explore this stuff further after this album and the album was the panned as a rip off of those trends of the time and the what the Beatles had done, but still give this a listen, cool stuff. This is what digging into discographies and less popular stuff is all about, finding these fun one offs.

If you ever wondered where Blur’s Damon Albarn got his ideas for the “Parklife” album, look no further than the Little Stevie Marriott era of the Faces. This Summer of Love psychedelic gem is full of all sorts of surprises but “Lazy Sunday” is based on a real-life conflict the party-all-the-time Marriott was having with his neighbors. 🥃 Heading to Heathrow to depart London once again but coming back in three weeks and can’t wait for a little Smoke in the Summer 😎

i think this album is fun lesson in garage psych :) standouts are the romantic “love to share” and the trippy, lowkey ahead of its time “run spot run”

Hey tyler hopefully this doesn’t violate some PI.FYI golden rule But after nearly two years of writing, editing and arguing, my book about the EP is coming out in May and can be preordered here: https://hozacrecords.com/product/aifl/ The book is about the origins, history and cultural impact of the EP since these little objects first started coming out in the 50s. Over 50 of my music biz friends then helped me shape the list and review the top 200 ever released, according to us (ha). For those of you who are into this kind of geekery/snobbery, I can’t wait to hear what you think. A labor of love, as all books are! ❤️
