The first installation of his I saw was The Weather Project at the Tate Modern's Turbine Hall in 2003 and to this day it is the most hauntingly, beautiful piece I've ever seen. His retrospective at MOCA is shaping up to be the exhibit of the year and his booth at Frieze is always the best one every year.
On view at MoMA PS1. I went for the first time a few weeks ago and this piece stunned me. The simplicity! Genius. Makes you consider the world around you differently by altering it in the most subtle way - a frame. Could have sat watching the sky change all day. Sounds low lift, but I don’t think the impact can be fully explained without seeing it. It’s worth a visit.
every moment is fleeting. so are feelings and problems most of the time. whether life is good or bad right now won't dictate what your life will look like one year from now. everything can change! everything will change! anything can happen! everything will happen!
