someone else just bought out the small local ice cream place in my neighbourhood. i always wanted to go more and now i might never have their balsamic 3 berry ice cream again.

Grew up in Petaluma, CA and downtown petaluma had such a cute spot for hosuade ice cream
went there for every birthday and sometimes for an after dinner desert.

In light of my big 2-0 I made the walk after work to the Ben and Jerry’s location near Fenway Park and stopped by for a solo scoop of free ice cream. And in the midst of scarfing down their new mango flavor in 95F heat I thought abt the decade i left behind and the decade ahead of me w a renewed sense of sweet wonder :]]🥭🥭

for all of my childhood and adolescence i was a very lonely and solitary child and i thought that that was all there was for me.
yesterday i was surrounded by friends who came out to see me for my birthday and we drank and danced till we could barely walk. this is a life i never thought i’d have. there is always a light at the end of the tunnel no matter how weird and dark and long the tunnel is. wait it out. it really does get better.

i just stayed out till 4 in the morning at a party with incredibly pretentious people who didnt even ask me a single question about myself. all because i have a ridiculous fear of missing something.
i could’ve gone home and smoked.
