it’s a lot of fun ! feels like watching the movie again while seeing the writer’s vision more. it’s also quite educational ! the script lab has tons :)
If you’re an aspiring screenwriter I highly recommend doing a film challenge. It‘s fun and takes you out of ‘I haven’t written today, I don’t know how to write!’ anxiety brain and reminds you that you like movies for actual deep and personally fascinating reasons. It also is a great way to show you what your film taste is as you’ll see links in the films you pick each day. I attached a pic of one I made if you want to do it :)
I really enjoyed the social part in high school and it got me interested in the art of film!! Now I use it as more of a simple logbook, watchlist, and resource to find new movies. Which is great if that’s your goal!
