my favorite ways to consume ginger are pickled ginger, ginger tea with fresh ginger root, and ginger powder added to various recipes and smoothies. i am currently experimenting with ginger tablets from the brand Ginger People and so far i like them a lot for when i’m out and have indigestion or anxiety.
Anytime I use ginger in a recipe I keep the scraps, including the outer peel, and make ginger tea from it. Just sieve the bits out before you drink. Not exactly mind-blowing as far as recs go but a little bit of extra fun while cooking :)
Get yourself some ginger, cut it up, put some in some boiling water and drink or even with a lemon tea or better yet eat raw slice of it every day when you’re ill and you’ll feel better in no time, it’s nature’s remedy
watching the tree change and being there for all it’s subtle stages of browning and blooming is a beautiful experience that can yield great appreciation and joy. i believe that spending time in nature when the seasons are changing can provide much comfort and relief to seasonal depression and other feelings that come when the days grow dark and cold.
