Kind of a random one but it's hard to imagine that this tune — especially the combo of minimalist/funky guitar licks, exuberant drum fills, spacey Prophet 5 synth excursions, and backing vocal chants in the second half of the song — wasn't a big influence on the Speaking on Tongues LP

Jamiroquai - virtual insanity (slowed/reverb)

slowed / reverb is undeniably slop content but it just scratches a certain itch so well and this is one of the best examples i’ve seen
