i have been listening to this album non stop since it cane out earlier this month. everything about it is so good, from the production to the lyrics. my top 3 is rain, garden, and amberwood.
feels like such a timeless album. i’ve returned to it so many times purely because of how unapologetic it is in terms of its angst and unconventional, “homemade” sound. escape in an album. amazing musical storytelling both in its creation of an aural landscape and in straightforward exposition.
Fall-ish album, was my top play of the week. Just outstanding, stirring stuff, probably one of my top five favorite albums ever. Every year I feel like my favorite song here changes, right now it’s Simple Twist of Fate. Other years it’s been, Meet Me In Morning, You’re A Big Girl Now, next year who knows.
