literally some of the most gut-wrenching-ly beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. and not because they’re sad perse but because they just give me an immense sense of longing. specifically love songs on the radio and your life in art. beautiful music with so much melancholy. (slowdive side project if yall didn’t already know!!)
“dagger” slowdive
“the leanover” life without buildings
“blue light” mazzy star
“buzzcut season” lorde
“wild horses” the sundays
“pristine” snail mail
“oversized“ basement
“nos quedamos solitos” rosalia
“forrest gump” frank ocean
* cherry flavored - the neighborhood
very "summer sunset" sort of song, holds a lot a good memories for me :')
* when did i lose it all - pale waves
more of a yearning vibe, but romantic to me nonetheless
* aqua regia - sleep token
my favorite song ever maybe. more on the poetic/metaphorical side, but still fantastic
* i love you - riopy
this one is a piano instrumental but it is the most moving, yearning-filled song i've ever heard
