this used to be my default in college but at some point I began to see it as disgustingly lazy and began waking up at 7:30. well, I woke up at 9 today and what do you know…. feels real good
i’ve always been a night owl for as long as i can remember and, even more so, decidedly NOT a morning person. recently though, i have started going to bed early (8:30-9:30PM) and it has made so much of a difference: i feel much more rested when i wake up and don‘t struggle to wake up at a decent time. i actually tend to naturally wake up at 6:30-7AM now—even on the weekend—when that would have been UNHEARD OF for most of my life.
I did this with my teacher at the film program I went to and it forced me to get better. I do not recommend it to anyone but there are certain personality types where it’s inevitable. Just remember your mentors love you and your beef is internal.
