I remember how much she loved Freaks and Geeks and My So-Called Life. Looking back, I think she was probably just really nostalgic for her own youth. Can you blame her?
Avatar: The Last Airbender- I didn't watch this until I was an adult and I think itโs one of the greatest shows ever made. Sharp Objects- the energy the story is so palpable. Holds up against the book too. The reveal ๐ฉ!!!
The Wire or Sopranos- I watched both when I was postpartum with my son and itโs hard to choose between the two. I just remember finishing each and thinking, โoh I get it now.โ
New Girl- what can I say, Iโm a millennial. Interesting observation; every single one of these shows I did not watch until years after they finished.
Nothing makes me nostalgic for my childhood like doing this. It makes me remember when I was so carefree. Also the fashion was ON POINT and all of these Black women are still so beautiful and fabulous.
i just found out a streaming platform had one of my all time favourite shows while i was in highschool. i have never been more excited for something in a long while. my child self is HEALING
